About me:

I am a mother, musician, biologist, elementary science teacher to children, nature photographer and aspiring eco-documentary film producer. My media work integrates science and visual arts in an effort to educate, bring awareness, and inspire our Earth's human inhabitants to support one another and join together in conservation efforts towards protection of ecological systems and indigenous cultures worldwide.

What excites you about the The Possible Futures Film Contest? What's the most provocative aspect for you?

I’m excited to participate among such talented artists! The issues that have brought us together here need to be heard! I’m grateful to Possible Futures for giving us the world’s stage to express our visions and collective voices for a brighter tomorrow. The most provocative aspect is the power of the messages we are sending, the exposure this contest is providing and the positive impact we can have to change our world for the better !

Where do you find inspiration? What (or who) gives you hope?

From within. All around me. Faith when you put something you want or believe into the Universe, it will come back, maybe even better than expected. The strength and beauty of nature, the glowing faces of children with eyes full of innocent wonder, feeling the breath of a nuzzling animal on your cheek, the quiet determination of the righteous when faced with opposition, watching unconditional love turn despair into hope and war into peace inspires me …

How have stories shaped your life? What story does the world need to tell to shape a just and sustainable life?

Every life is a story, individual and unique. As I weave myself through experiences, I’m humbled by what others share; there are lessons in my encounters I feel guide me. Stories of indigenous peoples are living anthropological treasures which speak to the core of humanity coexisting in harmony with Mother Earth. Connections to nature and other species need to be reawakened throughout the modernized world. We are not so different, we are all connected; it’s turtles all the way down :)
